Sheryl Bitter becomes a Bengal

1112-fd-bitterSHELLEY  -  Sheryl Bitter, a three year starter and senior leader of the Shelley High School Lady Russet basketball team, made it official Wednesday morning as she signed a national letter of intent to attend Idaho State University.

Fearless Semi-Final predictions

BLACKFOOT — The state football quarter-finals have wrapped up with both of the remaining Bingham County teams surviving tough match ups to advance to this weeks semi-final round.
Blackfoot took to the road once again, traveling to Bishop Kelley where they emerged victorious 27-14 and will now tangle with the Twin Falls Bruins on Friday evening.
Shelley, gutted out a nail biter in Holt arena, downing conference rival Salmon and will now set their sights on the Wolverines of Weiser.  Here is a breakdown of Friday nights games and of course, my best look into the crystal ball.  READER OPINION: What do you think?  Will the Broncos and Russets move on to the championship games or will one go, not the other or neither? As I sat in Holt Arena last night, watching one of the best prep football games that I have witness all year, some thoughts occurred to me. Where I am unable to make the jaunt over to Bishop Kelley this evening, stuck here in the office, I have a few moments on my hands to pose a few questions and comment on a few observations that I have made in the last couple of weeks. First impressions of ISU basketball

1104-fd-gilchrestI had an opportunity to watch the newest version of Bengal Basketball last night at Reed Gym.  Amid all the excitement of a new season, last nights effort gave me a few first impressions and a ton of questions.  READER OPINION:  Media and coaches have the Bengals making the tournament at a three or four seed.  What do you think?  Will the Bengals make it to the big dance this year? Panther Volleyball puts cap on districts

Was there any real doubt that the Panthers would win their district tournament.  After rolling through the district regular season, the only real question was if the flu bug would defeat the powerful Panthers or not.  Congratulations ladies!  You rocked all year!  Now on to state.  What do you think?  Will the Panthers vie for a state title??
