Jarad Allen in Holt on Saturday!
So Jarad Allen will be inducted into the Idaho State University Hall of Fame on Saturday. As a life long Vikings fan, and of course a long time suffering Bengal fan, I am torn between professionalism and my burning desire to be a demanding fan.Should I play it cool, report the game, giving the courtesy acknowledgment to arguably the greatest ISU football player to grace the field since the early 80’s?
Or do I wear my Vikings gear proudly and dare to ask for an autograph, or better yet, a photo opportunity? Alas, I am unsure which path to take, but rest assured, I will be front and center, despite the fact that this years team has little hope to contend with the number two team in the land on the field.
At least I will have something to look forward to at the half.

You go for it, get your photo and autograph and be the fan that you are. You can do both, be professional and a fan at the same time. Believe me, Mike Tirico and the others from ESPN have their share of autographs and photo ops and their office walls are strewn with pictures and memorabilia of places and people seen. I would bet that John Madden even has a photo of every guy he ever worked with and most of the guys who ended up on the sides of his trailer or bus or whatever it was, over the years.
