Big week ahead!

Posted in local interest by mshigh on November 16, 2010

Hey ya’ll.  Just thought that I would give you a heads up of whats going down this week.  First in girls basketball, Raimee Beck and the Air Force Lady Falcons will be in Reed gym Thursday night to take on the Lady Bengals.  It will be great to see the former Blackfoot prep star play live and in person again.  I hope that the gym is filled to support our favorite daughters return to the area.

Oh, and there are a couple of state championship football games on Saturday.  I’ll say it here first.  After watching Bishop Kelly live and in person on Saturday….. They may be the best team I’ve seen all year.  It will be a test for the Broncos to be sure and Snake Rivers opponent… Well Fruitland has shown no weaknesses in the 3A ranks.

I would love to make my pick right now but I will hold out forlater in the week.  READER OPINION:  HELP ME OUT WITH MY PICKS THIS WEEK.  GIVE ME YOUR ARGUMENTS FOR WHO WILL WIN THE 3A AND 4A STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

I am an outside fan, but I have been very impressed with Blackfoot. Just as long as they don’t try to play smashmouth with BK, then they can win this game.
As for Fruitland Snake, I’m sorry but Snake River does not have a chance. I’m a homer Go Grizzlies!

      Bootleggers?

I most definitely knew that Fruit Fly beatdown of S”naked” River was coming. But I didn’t think all that private school money and a home game would be enough for the Bootleggers to beat the Broncadilly’s. But stick with me, I’ll win you some more money yet.

  3. [...] for the Blackfoot paper made it to the Kelly-Shelley game and returned to Bingham County with some sobering news to his locals about that winning team he saw at Nick Ysursa Field.  But before you take that to the bank there is also the sports blog [...]

Sorry guys. BK will win. Blackfoot will lose. Payback for last year will be sweet.
